Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in Columbus, OH to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC. The role involves on-site and on-road work, with ongoing training and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities include diagnosing multi-system issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and safely restoring equipment.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
• Understand basic work-order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on light/medium/heavy trucks or equivalent equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
• Repair chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, engine, HVAC, suspension, drive train, steering.
• Perform road service and ensure equipment is returned to operation safely.

Skills

Diagnostic ability

Work-order time standards

Multi-system experience

ASE certs (a plus)

CDL (a plus)

3-5 years experience in tech role

Education

Automotive college or technical school grad (or in next 3 months)
