Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive inspections and repairs on a large fleet. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs to OEM specs, and document work in our system.

A valid driver’s license and appropriate certifications are required, with ASE and HVAC credentials viewed favorably. You will handle electrical and mechanical systems across diesel engines, transmissions, and brake systems, using diagnostic software and tools.

Qualifications

2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
Current and valid driver's license.
Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification and ASE certifications (Preferred, Not Required).
609 HVAC Certification.
Knowledge of OEM diagnostic software and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize safety and cost efficiency.
Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per federal, state and local requirements.
Perform quality maintenance and repairs to maximize safety and reliability of fleet equipment.
Document all work performed on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, electrical and HVAC systems.
Operate electrical meters and use diagnostic tools to ensure proper service.
