Job summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to provide safe, reliable maintenance and expert diagnostics for the company fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect vehicles, diagnose issues, and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime.

You will also handle refrigeration units and work closely with supervisors, with opportunities to mentor junior techs. The role offers full-time hours, competitive pay, and a boot/tool allowance, with a 3rd

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
CDL preferred, not required.
2-year school plus 4 years of experience or 5 years of fleet maintenance experience.
Annual Inspector Certification knowledge, skills and abilities.
Brake Inspector Certification knowledge, skills and abilities.
ASE certifications & Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
EPA section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC & Refrigeration Certification.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within planned time tolerances.
Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on tractors, trailers, dollies, light-duty vehicles per regulations.
Perform QA maintenance on refrigeration units (Reefer) and other equipment.
Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Document all work on work orders and mentor junior technicians.
Possibility of moderate supervisory roles in absence of Fleet Manager.
