Job summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert diagnostics to prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve fleet reliability. The role covers engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, HVAC, and lift-gate systems, with focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Technical Training (2-year school) and 1 year of experience, or 3 years of fleet maintenance/repair experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within planned time tolerances.
• Conduct annual inspections on all fleet equipment per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work on work orders and maintain records.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and improve efficiency in shop operations.
