Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure pipelines for classified mission environments. You will build CI/CD with GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins, enforce STIG compliance, and guide teams in secure software delivery.

You will architect IaC using CloudFormation across AWS GovCloud, C2S, and TC2S, using Terraform/Ansible, and mentor junior engineers while staying hands-on with Linux tooling and security practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on automation, scalability, and reliability across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience delivering DevSecOps services across multiple classified domains.
• Strong experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Docker.
• Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Ansible.
• Strong experience with Python and Bash in a Linux environment (RHEL/Oracle Linux).
• Understanding of AWS capabilities (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS) and secure cloud-based infrastructure.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC, or SSCP.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated solutions across multiple classification environments.
• Work independently and in a team to meet complex technical requirements.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins with integrated security scanning and STIG validation.
• Provide guidance on pipeline troubleshooting and DevSecOps best practices.
• Create and maintain IaC templates using CloudFormation to architect secure, highly available DevSecOps tool infrastructure across AWS GovCloud, C2S, and TC2S.
• Ensure STIG compliance and mentor engineers on IaC best practices.
• Lead troubleshooting by analyzing logs with Linux tools and perform root cause analysis.
• Provide security guidance on secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and ATO support.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain technical documentation and promote best practices.
