Base-2 Solutions seeks a skilled DevOps Engineer to modernize and deploy a government information system. The role emphasizes GitLab CI/CD, Nexus, and Solr with ZooKeeper in production, plus Windows Server administration and AWS migration planning.

The candidate will automate deployments, manage artifact repositories, and implement infrastructure-as-code with CloudFormation/ Terraform across on-premises and cloud environments. Security controls and containerization for Java are valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Automate deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage Nexus Repository for artifact storage and dependency management.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
• Build and maintain Apache Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production environments.
• Administer Windows Server environments and orchestrate infrastructure upgrades.
• Plan and execute migration strategies from on-premises VMware to AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Configure and manage AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and related components.
• Develop containerization strategies for Java applications.
• Implement configuration management tools and practices.
• Apply security controls in both on-premises VMware and AWS cloud environments.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies.
