Job summary

Enlighten seeks a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast‑paced team in Columbia, MD. You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure monitoring, reliability and scalability of services.

You should have deep Kubernetes and AWS experience, strong scripting in Python/Bash, and a background in big data solutions. This is an onsite role with leadership responsibilities and close customer collaboration.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• 9+ years in DevOps or software development; or 7+ with a Masters; or 13+ with HS.
• Strong Kubernetes and AWS experience (EKS/EC2/S3).
• Proficient with Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or Go.
• Linux administration, debugging, and scripting.
• Excellent communication and Agile experience.
• Demonstrated tech leadership or mentoring experience.
• Willing to work onsite in Columbia, MD five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS with EKS and EC2.
• Manage non-cloud edge and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Maintain Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud resources.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate apps into infrastructure.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Improve processes and tools for high availability.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams as a senior contributor.
• Occasionally adjust workspace and schedule to client needs.
