Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team in Fort Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and scripting in Python/Bash, with a background in large-scale data solutions and on-premise/edge deployments.

You will implement infrastructure, automate deployment processes, monitor reliability, and collaborate with engineering teams to scale services while mentoring junior staff as a senior

Qualifications

• Active TS level U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development with a related degree, or 3 years with a Masters, or 9 years with a HS diploma.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda) and their use for deployment and infrastructure management.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary.
• Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, exploring improvements to infrastructure.
• Seamlessly transition between hands-on execution and team guidance, including mentorship and leadership.
