Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, CI/CD, AWS, Linux systems administration, scripting in Bash and Programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions.

The role currently supports a customer onsite in Fort Meade, MD. #Mid-Senior Level; Must hold an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI and be willing to work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps or software development experience with a related degree; or 3 years with a Master's.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Proficient with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda) and deployment/management.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Programming in Python, Bash, or Go; Linux system administration.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications (e.g., Security+).
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of cloud and on-prem infrastructure, especially AWS EKS.
• Automate deployment processes ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams; lead technically where needed.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems for high availability.
