Job summary

Enlighten is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate has strong Kubernetes, AWS, and automation experience, plus a background in big data solutions. Will work onsite at Ft. Belvoir with occasional travel.

The role requires DoD compliance certifications or the ability to obtain them, and a TS/SCI clearance. You will contribute to deployment automation, infrastructure reliability, and scalable cloud services in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI security clearance required or ability to obtain before starting.
• 5+ years in DevOps or software development with related degree; or 3+ years with a Master's.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms.
• Extensive AWS experience (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda) for deployment and management.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or Go in deployment and automation tasks.
• Familiar with Git, Flux, and other DevOps tooling; Linux system administration.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills; Agile methodologies.
• Willing to work on site at Ft. Belvoir, VA; able to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor production systems and resolve issues promptly.
• Improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new tech and industry trends; explore improvements.
• Assist with on-premise/edge infrastructure as needed.
