Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team at Ft. Belvoir, VA. The role focuses on Kubernetes, AWS-based infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, and big data solutions.

You will implement scalable infrastructure and ensure reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key requirements include strong Kubernetes and AWS expertise, Terraform/Ansible, and programming in Python, Bash, or Go.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their deployment/management.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience with application, container, and OS deployment, scaling, and management.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and deployment tools.
• Proficient Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Understanding of AGILE methodologies and standard tool suites.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications or ability to obtain before starting.
• Ability to work on customer site at Ft. Belvoir, VA, 5 days a week with possible travel.
• Willingness to assist with workspace setup/closure as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure development and deployment in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support edge on-premise and portable equipment infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems; resolve issues.
• Continuously improve processes for high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies to improve infrastructure.
