Job summary

Erias Ventures is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our on-site team in Columbia, MD. You will deploy and manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure (AWS EKS) and on-prem/edge systems, automate deployment pipelines, and ensure reliability, scalability, and security of our services.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years in DevOps or software engineering, strong AWS and container orchestration skills, and DoD 8140/8570 certifications.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in DevOps or software development with related degree, or 7+ years with a Master’s.
• DoD 8140/8570 certifications (e.g., Security+).
• Strong Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure experience, including EKS, EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Programming in Python, Bash, or Go; comfortable with Linux administration.
• Experience with AGILE software development and leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure and on-prem/edge deployments.
• Automate deployment processes for reliable, scalable services.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and AWS resources; ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems; drive improvements.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership within the team.
• Support off-hours maintenance and customer mission needs as required.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers; contribute to team growth.
