Job summary

Quality Technology Services in Georgia is seeking a Senior Development Project Engineer (Data Center Construction) to assist with design, preconstruction and construction activities on multiple campus projects. You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors and Data Center Operations staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint and Excel) for communicating program updates and budgets.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law.

Responsibilities

• Assist Development leadership and Project Manager with day-to-day activities.
• Maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports for multiple projects.
• Prepare monthly development program and project status updates for executive reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop campus design solutions and capital budgets.
• Assist with entitlement and permitting needs for sites.
• Help prepare scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services and procurement.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with procurement on equipment procurement and delivery.
• Ensure submittals are coordinated with site stakeholders.
• Monitor project budget and cost-to-date against overall budget.
• Review schedules and manage teams for on-time completion.
• Review change orders and negotiate pricing.
• Assist with site construction security procedures.
