Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Development Project Engineer - Electrical to support design, preconstruction and construction on data center projects. You will collaborate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, and Operations to ensure standards and budgets are met.

The role requires a bachelor's in electrical engineering, design experience for data centers, and ability to manage multiple projects with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing electrical systems for data centers.
• Assist with project management for multiple projects.
• Experience with Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash analysis.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical industry standards.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Review drawing packages for adherence to design standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to evaluate designs to meet standards and local code.
• Define project scope requirements with stakeholders and deviations from standards.
• Work with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams on RFIs and VE queries.
• Review OFCI equipment submittals for compliance with the design criteria.
• Support resolving design issues during construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with procurement on equipment procurement.
• Develop and review SCCAF studies for adherence to design standards.
• This position will require 10% travel.
