Job summary

SABG seeks a Deterrence Analyst (Senior) to support USSTRATCOM/J57 deterrence planning and assessment under SWRDS. The role involves advisory services across deterrence analysis, mission analysis, strategy development, planning, research, and assessment, with emphasis on adversary perceptions and multi-adversary deterrence.

Based at USSTRATCOM Offutt AFB in Nebraska, the position requires TS clearance eligibility and extensive experience in deterrence theory, wargaming, and scenario development;

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or higher) in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, STEM, or a related national security degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge of deterrence theory and deterrence models.
• Experience with game theory and strategic deterrence concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in war game development and execution, including scenario development, analysis support to wargaming, and identification and tracking of lessons learned.
• Author professional war game reports documenting analysis, findings, and outcomes.
• Provide scenario-based deterrence analysis to war gaming activities designed to test USSTRATCOM OPLAN/CONPLAN deterrence actions.
• Provide scenario-based deterrence assessments to war gaming activities evaluating OPLAN/CONPLAN integration with other actions.
• Conduct hypothesis-based Deterrence Impact Analysis to test deterrence assumptions in experimentation.
• Develop tools to display visualizations of scenarios including modeling and simulation outputs.
• Provide wargame expertise relating to the operation of the U.S. Government and decision-making processes.
• Identify and synthesize lessons learned from wargames and experiments into analytic reports.
