Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr-level Desktop Support Technician to support a government site in Dahlgren, VA. You will provide desk-side and basic network support, troubleshoot hardware and software, and assist junior technicians within the Field Services team.

The role requires US citizenship, DoD Secret Clearance, a HS diploma with 5+ years’ related experience or equivalent, and DoD 8570 IAT II Security+ or higher.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• DoD Secret Clearance required.
• HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience or additional education/certifications may be considered in lieu of experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II: Security+ or higher Certification is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, version 10.
• Experience with HP Service Manager, Remedy, or similar ticketing software.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve user computer issues (hardware and software).
• Assist junior technicians in resolving complex issues.
• Manage resolution of customer tickets according to SLRs.
• Ensure customer requirements and timelines are met.
• Assist other teams to troubleshoot and resolve MFD/printers.
• Diagnose basic layer-1 network issues and configure switch ports.
• Assist in troubleshooting VoIP and VTC issues.
• Work with VIP and executive-level customers for premier support.
