Job summary

NRS in Decatur, TX is seeking a full-time Desktop Support / Help Desk professional to install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals across the company, including remote sites. You will respond to technical issues, set up user accounts, and collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware and software problems.

Night/weekend on-call rotations are required. The role requires 5 years of help desk experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of desktop support or help desk experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to lift and carry equipment up to 75 pounds.
• On-call rotation including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware, software, network printers, and scanners.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and related equipment.
• Respond to service requests and technical issues in a timely manner.
• Provide technical support across the company, including remote locations and out-of-state sites, both in person and remotely.
• Set up accounts and equipment for new users.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment as necessary.
• Run and terminate network cabling.
• Work with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Test and evaluate new technology solutions.
• May assist other departments during staffing shortages or increased workload.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
