TEKsystems is seeking a Senior IT Support professional for on-site, contract-to-hire work at two NC locations. The role focuses on server management, Active Directory, Windows 11, and hardware support. Some travel to the Southeast may be required, with core hours 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and experience in manufacturing/corporate IT environments, capable of handling project coordination and multi-location support.

Job Description

A TEKsystems client is looking for Senior IT Support on site for a long term need. This person will be the only support person on site. They will have members on the team to help with training. They will ideally have this person down the road to continue to support the rest of the region. Example; 70% supporting the NC locations, then 30% supporting other Southeast Facilities. Could be travel but also be remote.

The position requires in-person user support on site and the preferred technical skills include active directory, server management, hardware support/troubleshooting, and understanding of business processes in a manufacturing and corporate IT environment.

This person will need to be able to work through all levels of issues, including help with project coordination.

Range of needs from basic printer troubleshooting, to they have an AS400 system (dont need experience with AS400, that would be a huge plus).

Understanding what the site needs and being able to translate that over to that project group would be helpful.

The company is open to a mid or Senior level experienced person.

Must have good communication skills.

Environment

Work hours: Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm; 1 hour lunch), can be flexible with 7-4pm too.

Skills & Qualifications

• 1. Server management
• - The position requires 100% in-person user support on site, so server management is a crucial aspect of the role.
• - Computer Science Degree or Coding Bootcamp preferred but not necessary. Open to a business degree as well.
• 2. Coding knowledge or experience is a plus due to the AS400 in their environment.
• 3. Manufacturing work environment experience
• 4. Desktop Support: Active Directory, Windows 11, Device imaging, Ticket SLAs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
