Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to join a collaborative IT support team. You'll provide advanced technical support across a large enterprise, balancing day-to-day requests with project work in a hybrid/remote environment.

The role requires 5+ years of Tier 3 desktop support, Windows 11 expertise, AD experience, and strong communication. Travel to Madison, WI may be needed; residents of Wisconsin are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Tier 3 desktop support in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years supporting workstation hardware, software and OS.
• 5+ years of incident and service request management.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows 11 environments.
• Experience with Active Directory.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• PowerShell for administration or automation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 desktop support for workstation hardware, software, and OS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop incidents and requests.
• Support Windows-based workstation environments.
• Install, configure, and support printers, scanners, and end-user devices.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve recurring issues.
• Contribute to IT projects with planning, testing, deployment and support.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions.
• Deliver clear, professional communication to users.
• Manage support priorities while balancing projects.
