Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr-level Desktop Support Technician to support a government site in Dahlgren, VA as a key member of the Field Services team. The role provides desk-side and basic network support, troubleshooting and repairing IT devices to meet customer needs.

The position requires US citizenship, a DoD Secret Clearance, and a HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience. DoD 8570 IAT Level II: Security+ or higher is preferred, with potential travel to project locations.

Qualifications

• US Citizen required.
• DoD Secret Clearance required.
• HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience; higher education or certifications may substitute.
• Must demonstrate expertise in IT Enterprise Operations.
• Experience with Windows OS, version 10.
• Experience with HP Service Manager, Remedy, or similar ticketing tools.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve user computer issues including hardware and software.
• Mentor junior technicians in resolving complex issues.
• Manage resolution of customer tickets per SLAs.
• Ensure requirements and guidelines are met within the timeline.
• Assist teams in troubleshooting printers and local/network devices.
• Diagnose and resolve L1 network connection issues.
• Assist with VoIP and VTC issues.
• Support VIP and executive users.
