Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Design-Build Roadway Lead/Manager to join the Innovative Pursuits Team in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on leading roadway discipline teams for DB/PDB pursuits and projects, coordinating with other discipline leads, and delivering designs that meet client goals.

The position requires a PE license (preferred), 10+ years in transportation infrastructure design, and 5+ years in leadership of roadway design.

Qualifications

• Current PE license, preferred states: UT, NV, AZ, ID, CO, NM, WA.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure design.
• 5+ years leading roadway design for infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Able to lead a team and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
• Strong communication with clients, staff, and management.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway discipline engineering teams for Transportation DB/PDB pursuits and projects.
• Coordinate with other discipline leads.
• Be an integral member of the project management and delivery team.
• Lead roadway design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specs, and quantities tasks.
• Proficient with Microstation OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related software for transportation engineering.
• Work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain client relationships.
• Be available for local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication with clients, staff, and management.
• Pursue personal and professional growth on each project.
