Job summary

Horrocks in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Design-Build Roadway Lead/Manager to drive transportation projects on the Innovative Pursuits Team. You will lead roadway engineering teams, coordinate with discipline leads, and help deliver value-driven designs for freeways, interchanges, and urban highways.

The role requires a PE license and 10+ years in transportation infrastructure design, plus 5+ years leading roadway design and 3+ years DOT DB/PDB experience.

Qualifications

• Current PE license; preferred states UT, NV, AZ, ID, CO, NM, WA.
• 10+ years in transportation infrastructure design.
• 5+ years leading roadway design for infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Ability to lead a team and maintain client relationships.
• Outstanding client and personnel communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway discipline engineering teams for Transportation DB/PDB pursuits and projects.
• Coordinate with other discipline leads.
• Integral member of the project management and delivery team.
• Lead roadway design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks.
• Knowledge and experience with Microstation OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to transportation engineering.
• Work effectively as a team leader and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients.
• Be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, staff, and management.
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines.
• Grow personally and professionally within project teams to support client goals.
