Southland Industries is seeking a seasoned engineer/manager to oversee preconstruction for design-build and design-assist projects in Texas. You will manage schedules, design development, detailing progress, and the financials of design contracts to ensure profitability and timely delivery.

You will lead complex programs, build strong client relationships, coordinate with architects, other contractors, and internal teams, and mentor design project managers while maintaining QA/QC and BIM

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Science or equivalent.
• 9+ years of progressive engineering or construction management experience.
• PE licensure preferred.
• Strong project management, from concept to handover.
• Excellent analytical and technical writing skills.
• Superior communication and presentation abilities.
• Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office; Autodesk products and Revit.
• Ability to lead design charettes and guide engineering teams.
• Ability to develop scopes of work for project development.
• Strong leadership to maximize team performance across departments.
• Understanding of corporate practices and project standards.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP calculations, codes and costs.
• Understanding BIM requirements and Project Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of Project Estimating (FEB, CEB).
