Job summary

Jacobs seeks a lead structural engineer for our national long-span bridge practice. You will engage clients, lead design teams, perform complex analysis, and sign and seal contract documents where appropriate.

You will guide multi-office staff, ensure project quality, and mentor engineers while delivering arch, cable-stayed, and segmental bridge projects across the Americas. A PE license and 15+ years experience are required, with SE desirable. Hybrid work and multiple locations available.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in structural engineering or a related discipline.
• PE license with ability to obtain license in multiple states; SE license desirable.
• Minimum of fifteen years of demonstrated professional experience including Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer in charge of final design, construction documents and construction support services.

Responsibilities

• Represent Jacobs' technical capabilities within your areas of technical specialism in assigned locations and markets.
• Serve as a Technical/Task Lead on projects, including Design-Build, and lead staff for engineering analysis and design of long-span and complex bridges.
• Direct staff and coordinate project personnel to ensure progress on schedule and within budgets.
• Ensure overall quality and coordination of work, manage client interfaces, and uphold Jacobs' reputation.
