Job summary

Amazon is seeking an AMZL Sr. Station Leader in the Bay Area to lead delivery station operations, drive safety and performance, and develop a strong leadership bench across the site.

You will coach managers, deploy lean initiatives, and coordinate with DSPs to meet ambitious business targets. You will manage a 24/7 operation, analyze performance metrics, and partner with HR, Finance and Engineering to secure resources and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years’ direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile manufacturing, engineering, production or distribution.
• Proven track record of delivering performance and financial results in high pressure environments.
• Experience with performance metrics and lean techniques.
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• Strong analytical capability; ability to dig into data to solve operational problems.
• Excellent communication skills (English and local language).
• Experience managing third party resources on a regional/national scale.
• Experience managing contingent workforce during peak seasons.
• Flexible to work varied hours, including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all DS operations.
• Set vision for the station team and drive quality and lean initiatives to meet business goals.
• Solve gaps between performance and targets.
• Define expectations for Ops/Area/Shift Managers and hold them accountable.
• Manage 24/7 delivery operations and relationships with DSPs.
• Present operational metrics to senior leadership.
• Hire and develop talent; implement a site talent plan including development and engagement.
• Leverage managers to source ideas and create improvement plans.
• Foster a strong culture and engagement across all station levels.
• Share best practices across departments and the network.
• Collaborate with Transport, DSP Management, Finance, LP, IT, HR, ACES and Eng to secure resources.
