Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Contracts Manager to support government defense contracting across the Secure Line of Business. The role requires handling complex contracts, advising on risk, and working with internal teams to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in contract administration within USG/Prime contracting, familiarity with FAR/DFARS, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Travel is expected to be light.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field.
• Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of directly related experience in Contract Administration/Business Management/Finance with government defense or prime customers.
• Experience with USG, Prime and Commercial contracts.
• Experience with standard defense contract types (CR, CPFF, CPIF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, etc.).
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations, especially FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15.
• Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage Program and Project Contracts for the Line of Business.
• Review solicitations and prepare proposals with the proposal team; review contract documents for compliance with terms and customer requirements.
• Draft, review, and redline customer agreements; negotiate complex agreements including master agreements.
• Develop and recommend negotiation strategies aligned with objectives.
• Advise management on contractual rights, IP protections, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and meet deadlines for internal/external requests.
• Enter contract data into databases and track contract compliance with other functions.
• Interface with Government contracting officials, prime contractors, and other customer reps.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as Legal, Finance, Pricing, and Engineering.
