Job summary

Mercury Systems seeks a Senior Contracts Manager to lead the contracting lifecycle for the IPS business unit, interfacing with government officers and cross-functional teams to protect Mercury’s interests.

This role requires expertise in FAR/DFARS, a proactive governance mindset, and strong negotiation and leadership skills to manage high-volume, complex contracts across USG, prime, international, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience in contract administration/business management/finance with USG, Prime, international and commercial contracts.
• Experience with common defense contracts (CR, CPFF, CPIF, FFP, T&M, incentive-type).
• Experience with contract vehicles including IDIQs, BOAs, OTAs.
• US Government regulations (FAR/DFARS) knowledge, Part 12 and Part 15 emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts for Line of Business and lead from solicitation to close-out.
• Review complex solicitations and draft specialized non-routine proposals with the team.
• Ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and company policies.
• Negotiate and draft master agreements protecting company interests.
• Advise leadership on contract issues, IP protections, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain contracting policies and governance processes.
• Track contract data and deadlines; interface with government and cross-functional teams.
