Job summary

Mercury Systems in Alpharetta is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead the contracting lifecycle across the Integrated Processing Solutions (IPS) business unit. This role blends independent execution with leadership of cross-functional teams to resolve complex contracts.

You will interface with Government agencies, negotiate terms, ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, and provide risk mitigation. Travel up to 25% and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• Ideally 10+ years in contract administration/finance with USG, prime, international and commercial contracts.
• Experience with standard defense contract types such as CR, CPFF, CPIF, FFP, T&M, incentives.
• Experience with contract vehicles including standalone awards, IDIQs, BOAs, OTAs.
• Subject matter expert with US Government regulations (FAR/DFARS).
• Strong analytical, financial, problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Travel as needed; 25% approx.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance (U.S. citizens).

Responsibilities

• Manages Contracts supporting Line of Business.
• Leads through the entire contracting lifecycle from solicitation to contract close-out.
• Reviews complex solicitations and prepares specialized/non-routine proposal responses with proposal team.
• Reviews and approves contractual documents for adherence to customer specifications/requirements, FAR/DFARS clauses, and company policy.
• Drafts, reviews, redlines and negotiates customer agreements, including master agreements.
• Advises leadership and program teams on complex contract issues, contractual rights, obligations, IP protections, and risk mitigation.
• Develops and maintains contracting policies/processes to govern contracting practices.
• Maintains deadlines for customer requests; analyzes and tracks contract compliance.
• Manages contract data into enterprise systems as required.
• Interfaces with Government contracting officers, prime contractors, and cross-functional teams.
