Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on North America’s geotechnical projects. You will set safety, quality, schedule, and cost expectations, while developing team members and coordinating with clients.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong foundation and soil improvement knowledge, and excellent communication to work across multi-disciplinary teams. Location varies with projects; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of planning, scheduling, and management of deep foundation and/or ground improvement operations.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience as a superintendent.
• Strong knowledge of ground improvement techniques and deep foundation methods.
• Experience with SOE operations and related equipment.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Review and approve labor rates for Foremen, journeymen and laborers.
• Manage contract administration and field management meeting communications.
• Develop client relations programs and on-site staff engagement.
• Attend meetings with clients for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Review and negotiate change orders.
• Develop and implement project completion and turnover plans.
• Maintain daily diary for records.
• Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Propose organizational or procedural improvements.
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.
