Job summary

ABB Energy Industries in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to serve as the technical lead for Distributed Control System projects acrossRenewables, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation and Water treatment, supporting US and global initiatives.

You will ensure successful DCS delivery on time and within budget, uphold safety standards, design automation enclosures, control logic and HMIs, and collaborate with project teams. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or other engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience in engineering with Distributed Control Systems
• Knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools
• Commitment to safe work practices and safety guidelines
• Self-motivation, curiosity, and eagerness to learn new technologies
• Collaborative approach with strong communication and leadership skills
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English; US work authorization without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver solutions with customers for medium complex projects
• Resolve technical issues remotely and at customer sites in US and abroad
• Assist Project Managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards
• Cost-effectively execute DCS project deliverables on time per specs and safety guidelines
• Design, test and commission automation enclosures, control logic and HMIs
• Create and deliver work plans, budgets and risk assessments
• Travel up to 25% of the time
