Job summary

ABB Energy Industries in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Demand Associate Field Service Technician to help run safe and efficient plant operations using ABB’s Distributed Control System. This role begins with a formal Traineeship and mentoring to provide outstanding field service support.

During the traineeship you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot low-complexity DCS issues, and log all customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Willing to travel up to 80% overnight.
• Fluent English.
• Legal work authorization in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide site service to ensure safe and efficient plant operation using ABB’s Distributed Control System.
• Perform periodic, routine, preventive maintenance and support upgrades.
• Troubleshoot low-complexity DCS hardware/software issues and log support requests.
• Maintain customer database by logging each call and service provided.
• Communicate effectively with site stakeholders to ensure contracted services meet expectations.
• Support hardware and software upgrades and system modifications.
