ABB Inc. in Houston, Texas seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead and deliver distributed control system projects for medium-to-large applications.

You will collaborate with customers to shape solutions, resolve issues remotely or on-site, and support sales proposals with technical detail and risk assessments. The role requires extensive DCS experience, knowledge of PMS and SIS/FGS standards, and strong project leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 10 years of experience in working as an Engineer with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
• Must have 6 years of experience in each of the following: Working with Power Management Systems (PMS) following IEC61850 standards including integration with switch gears and MCC
• Working with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Fire and Gas Systems (FGS) following IEC61508/IEC61511
• Performing computer networking design and configuration, including server virtualization and virtual networks (VLANs)
• Working with Cyber Security, IEC62443 standards
• Leading projects with coordinating between vendors, customers, and project managers

• Shape and deliver solutions with customers for medium-to-large complex projects
• Assist Project Managers with claims, specifications, safety standards, costs and deliverables
• Cost-effectively execute Distributed Control System project deliverables on time
• Design, test and commission automation enclosures, control logic and HMI with ABB or third-party systems
