Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to support the Engineering team within Automation Energy Industries in the USA. You will prepare drawings, calculations, BOMs, and process instructions, contributing to pre-engineered designs and system solutions.

The role is hybrid with training conducted in Houston or Cleveland before relocation to Cary, NC. You will join a collaborative design team delivering project-based engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of design and execution experience; distribution control systems preferred.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Willingness to relocate to Cary, NC after training.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an integrated design team to meet project requirements and deliverables.
• Design automation enclosures and establish system cabinet assembly requirements.
• Certify equipment outline drawings, power consumption and cooling requirements for ABB equipment.
• Generate system orders for ABB equipment or third-party equipment and monitor delivery status.
