Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate for Data Transformation & Governance to help embed governance, quality, and stewardship into complex data transformation initiatives. You will manage governance for acquired-company data, maintain data inventories, and drive compliance across migration, retention, and disposal activities.

The role collaborates with Legal, Privacy, Risk, and Security teams and requires in-person attendance at GT offices at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data governance, transformation, management, quality, integration, or related roles.
• Experience supporting governance in data migration, modernization, archival, analytics or large programs.
• Knowledge of unstructured content governance and content handling requirements.
• Understanding of retention, disposal timing, and evidence to support disposal.
• Familiarity with data protection, privacy, and compliance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise data governance frameworks for acquired-company integration.
• Embed governance into transformation initiatives across migration and analytics.
• Build and maintain data estate inventory for acquisitions and content categories.
• Document retention, ownership, and approval records for data use and sharing.
• Prepare governance reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, and Security on controls.
