Job summary

Starburst is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to partner with field sales, lead technical engagements, and deliver compelling demonstrations. You will guide customers through discovery, proof-of-concept studies, and migrations, ensuring successful adoption of Starburst products and scalable analytics across enterprise environments.

You will be a trusted technical advisor, shaping evaluations, delivering workshops, and coordinating with engineering for customer success.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking and problem solving are essential.
• Proficiency in ANSI SQL and UNIX/Linux CLI.
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and cloud deployments.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, distributed storage).
• Customer-facing technical experience and strong presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Grow and retain accounts.
• Own the technical aspects of the sales cycle and drive projects to closure.
• Define success criteria and educate customers in the qualification process.
• Define, scope, and execute customer proof of concept studies.
• Be an expert in Starburst products and services.
