Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to drive customer engagement and adoption of the Data Intelligence Platform across a major territory in the United States. You will partner with Account Executives and mentor senior engineers while influencing technical decisions and crafting compelling proofs-of-concept in collaboration with cloud providers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of customer-facing technical experience.
• Experience engaging in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and executives by building relationships and orchestrating teams.
• Experience coding in a core language (Python, Java, Scala) and willingness to learn Spark.
• Hands-on experience with proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executives in your designated territory.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications.
• Be a champion for customers and colleagues as a trusted advisor for data analytics architecture and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Contribute to Databricks' technical community by developing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
