Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in the Data Security Group (DSG) to drive pre-sales activities and act as the primary technical contact for customers and account teams. As a trusted advisor, you will lead technical discovery, POC planning, and production evaluations for proofs of concept and deployments.

You will architect comprehensive People-Centric Security solutions, including data loss prevention across email, endpoints, cloud, and web, plus insider risk and DSPM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven track record selling solutions as a Sales Engineer or related area, ideally in data security and insider risk.
• Good understanding of the cybersecurity market landscape and competition in data security and insider risk.
• Expertise in core security solutions and technologies such as Enterprise DLP, CASB, Insider Threat Management, Endpoint Security, Isolation, and DSPM.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Technical Lead for Proofpoint pre-sales process and drive customer satisfaction.
• Design and champion complex security solutions across data security portfolio, including DLP, insider risk, and DSPM.
• Collaborate with sales, professional services, engineering, and product teams to ensure successful outcomes and customer adoption.
