Job summary

Proofpoint seeks a Senior Sales Engineer in the Data Security Group to act as the technical lead in pre-sales, guiding customers through POCs and evaluations with a People-Centric security approach.

You will collaborate with sales, services, and engineering teams to craft security solutions spanning DLP, insider risk, and DSPM, while traveling as required in support of business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven track record selling solutions as a Sales Engineer or related areas.
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field; CISSP preferred.
• Travel required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for the Proofpoint pre-sales process and drive customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the ATG Sales Specialists & Account Teams to develop and execute targeted account penetration strategies.
• Build trust and rapport with customers and prospects as their main technical contact throughout the process.
• Lead technical discovery, planning, execution and wrap up of POC and Production Evaluations.
• Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions across the Data Security portfolio.
• Assist in professional services deployments, training, and industry seminars when needed.
• Work with Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product Management to ensure team success.
• Provide customer insights to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering; develop training for peers.
