Job summary

Proofpoint in the United States is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join the Data Security Group. You will partner with Specialist Account Managers and customers to articulate complex People-Centric security solutions and guide pre-sales engagements from discovery through production evaluation.

You’ll own technical solutions including Data Loss Prevention across email, endpoint, cloud and web, Insider Risk, and DSPM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of proven track record and experience selling solutions as a Sales Engineer.
• Good understanding of the Cybersecurity market landscape and competition.
• Expertise in core security solutions such as Enterprise DLP, CASB, Insider Threat Management, Endpoint Security, DSPM.
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Travel required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Drive high levels of customer satisfaction and trusted advisor relationships.
• Collaborate with Sales Specialists and Account Teams to develop penetration strategies.
• Lead technical discovery, POC planning and production evaluations.
• Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions across the Data Security portfolio.
• Work with Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product Management to ensure success.
• Develop training and internal documentation; contribute to cross-functional communications.
