Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in the Data Security Group to serve as the technical lead in pre-sales. You will own customer engagements, deliver complex security solutions, and work across Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires deep knowledge of Data Security and Insider Risk, and strong communication skills to present to executives and technical staff alike. Travel is expected in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years selling solutions as a Sales Engineer.
• Experience in Data Security and Insider Risk areas.
• Expertise in Enterprise DLP, CASB, Insider Threat, Endpoint Security.
• Must understand the sales process for Sales Engineer role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Proofpoint pre-sales process as Technical Lead.
• Drive customer satisfaction and develop targeted account strategies.
• Be the main technical contact for customers and prospects.
• Design and present Data Security and Insider Risk solutions.
• Collaborate with Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product Management.
• Develop training and internal documentation for the team.
• Capture customer insights to inform product teams.
