Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to lead pre-sales in the Data Security Group. You will become a trusted technical advisor to account teams and customers, delivering People-Centric security solutions and overseeing POC and production evaluations.

Based in the Eastern Time zone, you will collaborate across Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product Management to drive technical wins and ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of proven track record selling security solutions as a Sales Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Data Security and Insider Risk domains.
• CISSP or similar industry certification preferred.
• Travel required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales activities as Technical Lead for Proofpoint’s pre-sales process.
• Collaborate with the ATG Sales Specialists & Account Teams to develop and execute targeted account strategies.
• Be the main technical contact with customers throughout evaluation and deployment (POC and production).
• Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions spanning Data Security portfolio (DLP, Insider Risk, DSPM).
• Provide customer insight to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering; deliver training and contribute to internal documentation.
