Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead development of statistical and ML models for the FALCON effort. Work remotely within the continental United States supporting live and historical data analyses to drive simulations and analytics into the system.

You will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and customer stakeholders to build, sustain data pipelines and analytics capable of informing decisions with real-time and offline insights.

Qualifications

• Master's in Data Science, Data Analytics, CS, Physics, Mathematics or related field with 5+ years in data science.
• Current Top Secret security clearance and/or CBP/DHS suitability.
• Strong Python and libraries: pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, scipy.
• Experience processing/cleaning and analyzing time series and geospatial data.
• 7+ years applying ML to time series and/or geospatial data.
• 7+ years with PostgreSQL, HDFS, Git, and time series forecasting.
• Experience correlating data from different sensors into one track.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in designing analytic solutions that meet customer needs.
• Enhance analytic solutions to ensure quality and performance.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to create a common operating picture.
• Select and implement statistical analyses and scoring metrics to evaluate algorithms.
• Create training and test datasets to enhance existing algorithms.
• Perform ETL and data processing activities and validate data quality.
• Derive analytic reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Develop data visualizations for analysis and UI needs.
• Perform feature engineering, classifier optimization, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Interface with external stakeholders to decompose data science needs.
• Produce data science processes, results, and approach documentation.
