Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer on our Data & Performance Enablement team to design and implement the platforms that manage distributed event streaming, database, messaging, and data warehouse components.

You will mentor engineers, participate in on-call rotations, and influence the technical roadmap while delivering scalable, secure data solutions for internal software teams across CVS Health.

Qualifications

• 5 years of applicable experience.
• Experience with messaging platforms (Kafka/Redis).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash or Python).
• Solid experience with major cloud providers (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data platform components for provisioning, backups, and user management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues in data systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve data streaming services, security, and automation.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support critical services.
• Mentor junior engineers on database administration and DBRE principles.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies.
