Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Data/Platform Engineer to join a healthcare technology organization. The Senior Data/Platform Engineer will rebuild the company's data pipeline and modernize the platform to support scalable growth.

You will design ETL processes, implement AWS infrastructure with Terraform, and establish observability and data governance across production systems. This fully remote role offers a path to full-time employment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and supporting large-scale data platforms or data engineering environments.
• Proven experience re-architecting, modernizing, or rebuilding data pipelines and platforms from the ground up.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies.
• Advanced SQL and data warehousing expertise with Redshift, Snowflake, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild and modernize a legacy data pipeline, creating scalable ingestion, processing, and storage solutions.
• Design and develop integrations for APIs, vendor file feeds, BigQuery, and other external sources.
• Build event-driven services and ETL processes using Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Develop and manage AWS infrastructure utilizing Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization best practices.
• Establish observability, monitoring, lineage tracking, and operational standards for production data systems.
• Lead data migration, reconciliation, backfill, and cutover efforts while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
