Job summary

Releady is partnering with a leading healthcare technology company to hire a Senior Data Engineer for its Data Services team. You will design, build, and operate complex data pipelines and cloud data solutions, embedding security, automation, and reliability throughout the software lifecycle.

The role is hands-on, technical, and leadership-focused, mentoring other engineers while contributing to engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least five years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on SQL scripting and automation capabilities.
• Hands-on with Azure cloud services (ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory).
• Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, or Tidal.
• Solid knowledge of data modeling using Data Vault 2.0 and data integration, warehousing, and data quality implementations.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket or GitHub.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies and enterprise cloud integration.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is preferred; Epic exposure is a plus.
• Awareness of data governance and production certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex data pipelines for multiple use cases from development through production.
• Develop scalable, cost-effective implementations using reusable data engineering frameworks and patterns.
• Apply DevSecOps practices to security, automation, and quality controls across the SDLC.
• Implement automated testing, validation, and monitoring for data workflows; leverage AI-assisted approaches where appropriate.
• Drive incident management, root-cause analysis, deployment stability, and data reliability.
