Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Delivery Solutions Architect to drive post-sale success and growth for strategic customers. You will lead technical account strategy, oversee onboarding and adoption activities, and coordinate across professional services, education, and support to ensure healthy consumption of workloads.

The role blends technical leadership with executive engagement, reporting to a DSA Manager in Field Engineering, and requires travel up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering technical projects in Data and AI.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL or Scala.
• Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting role.
• Understanding of solution architecture related distributed data systems.
• Understanding of how to attribute business value and outcomes to specific project deliverables.
• Technical program or project management including account, stakeholder and resource management accountability.
• Experience resolving complex escalations with senior customer executives.
• Experience conducting discovery workshops and creating strategic roadmaps for delivery.
• Track record of overachievement against quota or targets.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Solutions Architects to understand the full use case demand plan for prioritised customers.
• Lead the post-technical win account strategy and execution plan for the majority of Databricks use cases within our most strategic accounts.
• Be the accountable technical leader assigned to specific use cases and customers across multiple selling teams and internal stakeholders.
• Be the first contact for any technical issues or questions related to production/go live status of agreed use cases within an account.
• Coordinate with Shared Services, User Education, Onboarding/Technical Services and Support resources, escalating when needed.
• Create, own and execute a point-of-view to accelerate use cases into production, coordinating with PS on delivery.
• Navigate Product and Engineering for new product innovations, previews and upgrades.
• Develop an execution plan covering all activities of customer-facing technical roles and teams across work streams.
• Provide internal and external KPI updates on usage and customer health to Technical GM.
