Job summary

Fivetran in New York is seeking a senior-level technical leader to architect, build, and lead our Semantic Layer—the service that turns customers' raw warehouse data into consistent metrics and analytic models they can trust across their organization.

You'll drive the architecture and long-term direction, raising the bar for performance, reliability, and scale so customers can ask any question of their data and get fast, correct answers. This is a fully remote, full-time role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with complex systems.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud security concepts.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with Postgres and data warehouses.
• Ability to lead architecture and design of large-scale data platforms.
• Experience with CI tools like BuildKite.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead architecture of Fivetran's semantic layer.
• Develop scalable distributed data systems on the cloud.
• Review code and mentor juniors across teams.
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in on-call rotation and hiring processes.
