Job summary

Surescripts is seeking a Senior Architect - Data and Semantic Intelligence to set the technical direction for the Enterprise Data Platform. You will define data models, semantic layers, and platform topology, unifying data and semantic design across datasets for AI-ready consumption.

As the senior technical voice, you will govern architecture decisions, partner with Trust & Enablement, and help shape the data roadmap in a flexible/hybrid work environment in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in data/solution architecture or related discipline.
• Deep expertise in data modeling and semantic layers.
• Experience defining semantic layers and data governance.
• Strong cloud data platform knowledge, especially GCP and BigQuery.
• Experience defining externalization and API architecture for data platforms.
• Familiarity with semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, knowledge graphs).
• Ability to explain complex architectural decisions to engineers and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise data architecture and blueprint for the Enterprise Data Platform.
• Lead cross-cutting solution architecture across the platform.
• Own the canonical data model for patient, provider, drug, and transactions entities.
• Lead semantic model design and establish design gates for semantic artifacts.
• Define platform topology and externalization principles for external partners and AI consumers.
• Architect for machine and AI data consumption with scalable semantic layers.
• Drive architectural governance and chair the architecture review process.
• Partner with Trust & Enablement to align semantic standards with Collibra glossary.
• Shape the technology roadmap and contribute to platform strategy.
