CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to lead the architecture and evolution of our Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake. You will drive multi-cloud ingestion and processing at scale, steward security and governance, and enable observability and operational telemetry across Azure, AWS, and GCP.

The role demands 10+ years in cloud data platforms, expert Databricks and IaC experience, and a strategic, performance-driven mindset to advance enterprise data

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience architecting enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years designing and administering Databricks platforms including Unity Catalog and governance.
• 8+ years implementing IaC, CI/CD, and policy controls (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
• 7+ years designing large-scale streaming ingestion (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
• 5+ years in principal engineer / lead architect roles driving multi-cloud strategy across Azure/AWS/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and multi-year roadmap for ingestion platform and data lake.
• Scale ingestion to 250+ TB per day across logs, metrics, traces, security events.
• Govern Databricks architecture: multi-cloud accounts, workspace strategies, data lineage.
• Lead IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and policy-driven automation for platform operations.
• Drive security, governance, observability, and operational excellence aligned with OTEL and OCSF.
