Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to own the architecture, governance, and evolution of a cloud‑native data platform handling hundreds of terabytes daily across Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will lead Databricks strategy, implement IaC/CI‑CD, and drive standardization with OTEL and OCSF across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience architecting, building, and operating enterprise‑scale cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years of experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and governance.
• 8+ years implementing Infrastructure‑as‑Code, CI/CD, and Policy‑as‑Code with Terraform / GitHub Actions.
• 7+ years designing and operating high‑scale streaming/telemetry ingestion architectures.
• 5+ years leading strategic multi‑cloud architecture initiatives across Azure, AWS and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for the Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake.
• Architect and scale ingestion to 250+ TB per day across logs, metrics, traces and security events.
• Lead enterprise Databricks architecture with multi‑cloud account structures, workspace design, and governance.
• Drive infrastructure‑as‑code and policy‑as‑code adoption, and enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
